The Last Road
The prized book we lost has led us to a library of a million other, better books. Our searching for one thing has lead us to the real thing. This is how all of our most heartfelt journeys will end.
Play Time
What a mess we can make of our lives. We are given the proper tools to build a mansion, a family, a life,- and we sell the tools for playthings. The real tragedy is not that we have sold the tools, but that we never even learned to use them. It was easier and more comfortable to play with pretend things and make boxes into houses, to fight with plastic swords and play at a life. Perhaps one day He will let us borrow the tools again, when we are wiser and better. Only when our own playtime is over can the real Play Time with Him begin. It's a recess we shall never desire to come back from.
